Roles are layered: a base role (Doctor / Clinical staff / Non-clinical staff) plus granular permissions and optional admin overlays.

Send an invite

Establishment → Role access → Invite. Pick base role, then check granular permissions. The invite is good for 14 days. The user activates with Google SSO or a magic link.

Picking the right base role

Doctors can sign notes and prescribe. Clinical staff can chart, draft notes, and update clinical data — but cannot primary-sign. Non-clinical staff handle scheduling, intake, and documents — no clinical edits.

The admin overlay

Add the Admin checkbox to anyone who manages the practice. Super-admin bypasses every check — use sparingly.

Frequently asked questions

Can a scribe sign notes?
No. Scribes draft and the rendering provider primary-signs. Clinical staff (RNs/LPNs) can co-sign.
How do I deactivate someone the day they leave?
Establishment → Role access → … → Deactivate. They lose access immediately and their drafted notes are reassigned to a queue.
