Most fields update instantly. Some (legal name, date of birth) require a one-line confirmation from the clinic — they will see it next time they open your chart.
Where to edit
Account → Profile. Use Preferred name and pronouns to control how staff address you in chat and on visit screens — these never leave the clinic.
